This tutorial shows how you can set up a Xubuntu 14.04 desktop that is a full-fledged replacement for a Windows desktop, i.e.that has all the software that people need to do the things they do on their Windows desktops. The advantages are clear: you get a secure system without DRM restrictions that works even on old hardware, and the best thing is: all software comes free of charge. Xubuntu uses the lightweight XFCE desktop environment.

Hello,

Can you make a tutorial with Network Shares Folders in Xubuntu 14.04? For example how to setting up Samba, Thunar (Nautilus) and the file to share to see in network Windows Files share and Xubuntu File Share.

For me, I succeeded only to see Windows machines and not Xubuntu machine. When I tried to share "Download" folder in options was not same like "Share". I don't know how I do that(share "Download" folder).

Maybe it's a good ideea to put a tutorial with network sharing for Xubuntu 14.04 TLS.
