Can i use ubuntu instead ?

and did you recommend use desktop version or server verison work fine

should work with ubuntu.

But I have only tried with debian as command line server.

I could not get it to work on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with an apache server running, some steps to get it working with apache running are missing from above description

The line in smsd.conf
#init = device = /dev/ttyUSB0
Should be two lines as is
#init =
device = /dev/ttyUSB0

smstools works fine, i send sms moving a txt file into outgoing directory, but with playsms webpage dont work. Its appears in the web queue, www-data user can write in the spool/sms directories. what is this?

how to config sms server tool 3

using multiple modem and multiple outgoing?

i.e

GSM1 outgoing to folder /var/spool/sms/outgoing/gsm1

GSM2 outgoing to folder /var/spool/sms/outgoing/gsm2

when i lanch "localhost/playsms/" i have this error message "localhost n'autorise pas la connexion."
