German Keyboard on some Ubuntu Images

If you have an image from this page and the "/" key produces "-" and the "-" produces "B" then you are using a USA keyboard on a German Image.

In Ubuntu Images, use this:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup

You will be guided through the keyboard setup.

As a newbie and starting with Kubuntu,I'd like to ask if Ubuntu and Kubuntu are the same,as I cannot find anything on Kubuntu to assist me in understanding it and its configuration,especially when I want to install my printer,CDrom and other software and hardware.Appreciate any response

and help with this.
